Indie-pop fans have something exciting to look forward to as The Ivy and Lyncs team up for their latest single and music video, Don’t Fall Asleep To This. The collaboration brings together The Ivy’s Wyatt Clem (vocals/guitar) and Shawn Abhari (synth/bass) with Lyncs’ Jacqueline Hynes (vocals/multi-instrumentalist), blending their signature sounds into a mesmerizing track that captures the highs and lows of long-distance relationships.
A Dreamy Yet Energetic Collaboration
The song, born during a writing trip in Los Angeles, began with a soothing, lullaby-like synthesizer. Initially envisioned as a slow, dreamy tune, the track evolved into something more dynamic and driving.
“Working with The Ivy on ‘Don’t Fall Asleep To This’ was an incredible experience,” Lyncs shared. “By the second day, we transformed it into something more upbeat, which gave it that dynamic energy that matched both our sounds.”
The Ivy echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the seamless nature of their collaboration.
With its ethereal melodies and pulsating beat, Don’t Fall Asleep To This is both intimate and energetic—a hypnotic anthem that speaks to the longing and hope that come with love across distances.
