French cosmic death-metallers Breeding Chaos have just re-released their debut album, Distant Planets, through Great Dane Records.

Originally dropped in September 2024, the album is now getting a major push across all digital platforms and CD.

A press release from Breeding Chaos reads, "Massive riffs. Controlled dynamics. A sonic concept rooted in astrophysics and interstellar phenomena. 'Distant Planets' operates at the intersection of groove-heavy extremity and melodic precision — no speed saturation, no genre clichés. Just dense, atmospheric, purposeful metal."

The Lineup: Who are Breeding Chaos?

They are a modern death metal outfit hailing from France. While they are relatively new on the scene with this debut, they’ve already garnered international praise for their distinctive guitar identity.

They aren't just a studio project, either; they are currently building a live presence across Europe and are already deep into developing their second album. They are positioned as a band on the rise, sitting comfortably between old-school melodic discipline and new-school progressive heaviness.

"Already praised internationally for its distinctive guitar identity and head-driven songwriting, the album is now pushing further into new territories. Tracks like "Birth of the Abyss" and "Stone Cross" showcase the band's ability to combine memorable rhythmic structures with a consistently dark, immersive atmosphere — favouring weight and impact over excess," continues the Breeding Chaos press release.
